Meet The Author

LoriAnn Sproul is a debut author of contemporary romantic suspense. By day, she works as a paralegal. But storytelling has always been part of who she is. Raised on a small Midwestern farm, she developed a deep love for reading and imagination early on.

The Same Stars is her first novel, blending emotional depth with suspense and second-chance romance. She lives in Iowa with her family and is often planning her next story.

The Same Stars

Laney thought the hardest part of her life was finally behind her. Then a gunshot at Charlie’s bar tears everything back open.

The past she fought to escape isn’t finished with her—and neither is the man who nearly destroyed her.

Koblar “King” King was supposed to stay in that past too. They grew up together as best friends and then went three decades without seeing each other. He never came back for her.

But when Laney’s life is threatened, he does.

As danger closes in and long-buried secrets rise to the surface, the connection between them refuses to stay buried. Because some love doesn’t fade—it waits.

And this time, it may cost them everything.

What Readers Are Saying

Here’s what readers are saying about The Same Stars.

“I instantly was pulled in and invested…I was definitely on the edge reading. I did not put it down…It is so good! It did not feel or read like your first book. I still randomly think about the <spoiler> scene…you know it’s good when it stays with you!”

B.L.

“What you have written is more than a story. I am deeply emotionally invested. I had to set it aside several times because I identify so strongly with your character that I feel her past trauma when she shares her memories….It’s good. Really, really good. It is more than a novel.”

T.F.

“I don’t read much romance, but I was impressed with how relatable all the characters were. It was almost nostalgic in a weird way even though it’s set in present time. “
